Course
Introduction
This 2 year Diploma Course
provides professional training in the practice
of Integrative Therapeutic Counselling &
Psychotherapy, enabling those who attend the
opportunity to obtain a depth of
theoretical and skills based knowledge that will
assist
in the setting up in private practice as a
counsellor, or to seek potential employment in
the counselling field.
This
programme
is distinctive in its focus on:

Integrative approach to counselling
plus awareness of a range of approaches.

effective counselling
skills in diverse practice.

the ability to integrate professional and
ethical issues into the practice of counselling.
Professional competency in working with
adult clients in a variety of settings.

for participants to enhance their own
personal growth and to develop increased
awareness of others.
An
integrative approach is adopted throughout the programme,
with the aim of fostering professional and
personal learning.
The
course has been designed to meet the British
Association of Counselling
and Psychotherapy (BACP) guidelines for counselling
programmes.
The
course is 48 days run over 2 years (10am –
6pm) and will be run over the weekend period,
thus allowing for a ‘normal’ working life to
continue whilst training. The total number of hours for the Diploma Course is 330.
The
cost of the course is £2040 plus VAT per year.
There is an initial registration fee of £199.75
and students can opt to pay for the remaining
course fees over 23 monthly payments.
Payments can also be made in full and receive a 10%
discount if paid prior to the start date
of the course.
CCTS offers a Credit/Debit card facility. A 4%
surcharge applies to all transactions.
The registration fee is refundable for
non-successful applicants. Alternative
arrangements can sometimes be made available for
payment of the course with the course director.

The Diploma
in Integrative Counselling
& Psychotherapy
is awarded by Contemporary College of
Therapeutic Studies and Validated by ACHPC.
After
submitting your application form with your
registration fee, an A4 summary of your life
experience, including your reasons for attending
the course, the College will process your
application to make sure that you possess the
qualities that would enable you to work safely
and ethically within a counselling setting. To

It is usual
for an individual and group interview to be part
of the selection process,
which is at the discretion of CCTS.
There are 7 modules including a
supervised placement module. Each
module requires a written piece of work to
demonstrate theoretical knowledge and practical
application.
