Hypnosis & NLP

The aim of this 4 weekend Clinical Hypnosis
course is to provide a sound introduction to
hypnosis, enabling those attending to obtain a
foundation of knowledge as an aid to the
eventual practice of hypnotherapy.
The course is designed for both those new to
therapy as well as those already working in the
helping professions, such as counsellors,
doctors, dentists, nurses, social workers and
teachers. This course is also for those who wish
to simply find out about the workings of the
mind.
Students will be required to do reading and
written work as part of the course structure.
Whilst this course does not ask participants to
delve too deeply into diagnostic routines,
emphasis is given to recognition of conditions
in which hypnotherapy may not be safe to
use.
Students will acquire skills that are directly
relevant to improving the quality of life for
themselves and those around them. On successful
completion of the Clinical Hypnosis & NLP
Certificate course and upon passing the set
assessments, students are able to continue on
with the Practitioner Diploma course, which runs
alongside the Clinical Hypnosis course.
Essentially this course is the first four months
of the Year 1 Diploma course.
This course will enable students to become
associate members of The General Hypnotherapy
Register and The Association of Contemporary
Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy & Counselling upon qualifying and throughout the
course student membership is automatic.
The
course teaching will include lectures,
experiential learning and practice as well as
the use of video analysis. We use many different
learning and teaching styles so as to enable all
students a thorough understanding of the skills
involved in therapy. Class and tutor discussion
and feedback will play an important part of the
learning process also.
This
course is open to all individuals seeking a new
career and those wanting to add the skills of
clinical hypnotherapy to their current work
base.
Students
must also be able to demonstrate interest,
enthusiasm and life experience appropriate to
helping others by means of therapy, and to show
aptitude and potential for study in both
tutorials and home situations.
Appreciating the pressures of modern life, time
and financial constraints, the training
course is conducted at weekends, one weekend per
month for 4 months. The training days are mainly
experiential, and commence from 10am until
4.30pm. There will be a 40 minute lunch break
and 2 further breaks throughout each day.
The cost of the course is £850 plus VAT. This is divided
in a registration fee of £199.75 and 4 monthly payments
of £199.75 spread over the duration of the course.
Payments
can also be made in full and receive a 10%
discount if paid prior to the start date
of the course.
Students that
wish to continue onto the Diploma course can
join at month 5. The remaining course fees are spread
over the remaining 7
months at £199.75 per month.
CCTS offers a Credit/Debit card facility. A 4%
surcharge applies to all transactions.
Our
courses are currently run in London, Birmingham
and Leeds.

Students who successfully complete the 4-month
Clinical Hypnosis & NLP course will be
awarded a Certificate from The Contemporary
College of Therapeutic Studies. This will show
you have attended the Clinical Hypnosis &
NLP Certificate and reached the required
standard of training. This can be used at any
point in the future for exemption from the first
4 months of our Practitioner Diploma course.
The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council
validates the course at Foundation level.
After submitting your application form with your
registration fee, if applicable, an A4
summary of your life experience, including your
reasons for attending the course, the College
will process your application to make sure that
you possess the qualities that would enable you
to work safely and ethically with clients in a
Clinical Hypnosis setting. To apply for this
course see the Registrations
page.
Students are required for the assessment of this
course to complete a written manual and also
present five session reports showing the skills
learnt on the course.
