Course
Introduction
This course is aimed at students who are
continuing training onto the Advanced Diploma in
Integrative Hypno-Psychotherapy which includes
the continuation onto the full Certificate in
Counselling Skills & Theory. The course is
open to students and also therapists who have
previously completed training to a level
equivalent to the Contemporary College Diploma,
subject to APL (assessment of prior learning).
This exciting and stimulating programme provides
additional in-depth study into the theory,
practice and skills involved in the professional
practice of the Hypno-Psychotherapist.
Students will cover both clinical and analytical
theory and techniques to an advanced level in
both Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. This will
include a new range of approaches that will
explore the challenges that both the therapist
and client will meet in an in depth therapeutic
relationship.
Material such as working with groups and
children are explored in the course content, as
is the study of specific pathologies such as OCD,
PTSD, Depression and much more. Included in this
course students will benefit from regular
supervision to help support their client work
and fully engage them in the role of a
professional therapist.
This course also
offers students continuation onto the
full Certificate in Counselling Skills &
Theory.
On completing
this
Advanced Diploma in
Integrative Hypno-Psychotherapy, students
will also have covered further training in
Counselling.
You will have gained greater knowledge,
practice and experience of the
interpersonal tools which Counsellors
need to acquire to communicate effectively.
In addition to this you will learn the counselling
and organisational skills that refer to
the actual management of counselling
sessions, which is a 'must' in maintaining
a healthy and productive client base. |
You
will have further knowledge of counselling
theory that deals with the assumptions and
hypotheses about the process of human
development.
This will include the philosophies about
how problems arise at certain stages of
peoples lives and how different forms of
therapy and counselling approach them.
The course at all times underpins the practice and professional
management of working as a
therapist. We will explore ethical issues,
confidentiality and safe practice
throughout your training. |
Applications for this course are considered for
those that have completed the year 1 Diploma
course or an equivalent training, subject to
APL. Applications are welcome from students
that have not previously trained with CCTS.

and financial constraints, the training course
is conducted at weekends, one weekend per month
for 12 months.

commence from 10am until 4.30pm. There will be a
40-minute lunch break and 2 further breaks
throughout each day

and previous knowledge from those students
already in practice.

£2040
plus VAT. This
is divided into 12 monthly payments of £199.75.

The course is designed according to the latest
requirements of various professional
organisations. Anyone who wishes to become a
therapist capable of helping those suffering
from emotional disorders requires a thorough and
comprehensive training, which includes
experience of being able to manage long-term
therapy.
Students will be expected to take full case
histories, to maintain confidential records and
to communicate with practitioners engaged in
other fields of therapy. Through the training
there will be an emphasis on self-awareness,
personal growth and development and the practice
of co-counselling is encouraged.
Assessments for the course consist of:
- Ongoing & accumulative assessment of
client case studies.
- A
reflective journal demonstrating progression
throughout the course.
-
A series of essays.
Students
need to show an awareness of appropriate
responses when given feedback. This must show
that students are able to evaluate the
information that has been given to them and can
use it to further enhance the effectiveness of
their work.
The aim of the advanced diploma course is to
provide to practicing therapist's the additional
edge for successful practice. The course is also
aimed at increasing the self-development of
students and to offer an increased depth of
knowledge as to not only the content of the
therapeutic session but also the process that
occurs between client and therapist.
Students will work over a series of
sessions on the course with the same person to
begin to become accustomed to longer-term
therapy and the relationship that develops
between the client and therapist.
This rare and much sought after
opportunity for supervised
"real life" therapy allows for
tremendous growth and development.
This
course is run over 4 modules of 3 months each.
Each module is run in rolling sequence and
students are able to enter the course at any
stage.
For example: Students may finish their Year 1
Diploma course in July and the next module
running for Year 2 is module 4 starting in
September. Students would start on module 4 and
