ABOUT THERAPY

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a tool of therapy, which uses hypnosis and hypnotic inductions to facilitate change and discover subconscious reasons for present emotional and physical problems.

What is NLP?

NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming is a set of therapeutic techniques, which we can use to effect change. It sprung from the study of the world's most effective therapists. The field of NLP has gone past these initial accomplishments to study the patterns, behaviours and beliefs of successful people in all areas of life.

What NLP has found is that people that succeed all use the same kind of techniques to communicate with themselves and others. They have the same "mental tool set" that we all have; they just use them in different ways.

NLP shows us how we understand our experiences. It is a way of perceiving reality, and of making appropriate interventions that move us towards what we want.

“NLP may be the most powerful vehicle for change in existence."
Modern Psychology Magazine.

What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is the application of psychological principles to the treatment of those suffering from disorders that are of psychological origin, or that are exacerbated by psychological factors.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a process that involves skills of caring, listening and prompting. It is a way of relating to another person, enabling that person to explore his or her thoughts, feelings and behaviours, in order to reach a clearer self-understanding. That person is then helped to find and use his or her strengths so that they can cope more effectively with their life by making appropriate decisions or by taking relevant action.

Essentially counselling is a purposeful relationship in which one person helps another to help themselves. The aim of counselling is to provide help and support by the aid of an understanding listener.
