Sandra Westland MA, B Ed (hons), Adv Dip.Hyp/Psych, UKCP Registered, FACHPC, MGHR, FMHPA, MHA, MUKHR, Adv PICT Therapist, NLP Practitioner,
MA in Existential Psychotherapy & Counselling (New School of Psychotherapy & Counselling)

Sandra is an Advanced Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist and has been a practicing since 1999. She worked for many years in education as a highly qualified senior teacher in a secondary school, leaving to become a full time therapist where she divides her time between successful private practice and work at a private psychiatric hospital. She has been training people in hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and counselling for the past 8 years where she has helped to develop courses that allow people to flourish and learn to become reflective and competent therapists.

Sandra has completed her Masters degree in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling and is now undertaking her Doctorate. She is the co-author of Thinking Therapeutically with Tom Barber and has full time practices in Colchester and London.

Sandra is a Registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), a member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the Hypnotherapy Association, and the General Hypnotherapy Register and has completed training in Existential Psychotherapy & Counselling, Cognitive and Behavioral Hypnotherapy/Psychotherapy and also Analytical Hypnotherapy/Psychotherapy. She has also trained to an advanced level in many different forms of Psychotherapy, including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Inner Child therapy and has attended workshops in specialist forms of therapy such as Transactional Hypno-Analysis and Transactional Therapy. Sandra is also an Advanced Practitioner in Parks Inner Child Therapy (PICT).

As well as a founder of CCTS, Sandra is a regular tutor for the certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses, and assists in both the running of courses and the academic development of Contemporary College. Sandra is the College Internal Verifier.

Course Director & CCTS Founder

Tom Barber MA, DHp, MBACP (Acc), UKRCP, DSC, MPNLP, FACHPC, MGHR, Senior Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice, FAETC,
MA in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling (Roehampton University)

Tom is a Registered Integrative, Analytical and Cognitive Psychotherapist, as well as a Master NLP Practitioner and Trainer and Life Coach. He is a Registered Senior Member of The General Hypnotherapy Register (SQHP) along with being an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a UKRCP Registered Independent Psychotherapist. Tom is also a qualified Further and Adult Education Teacher (FAETC).

Tom has spent two decades in full time practice in Essex and London as an Analytical and Cognitive Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist and Integrative Counsellor. His other studies have included 2 years training in Jungian Counselling and Psychotherapy to Diploma level with the European College, training in Advanced Hypnohealing and he has also trained for 2 years in Rogerian Counselling & Psychotherapy and Integrative Psychotherapy to Masters degree level. He is currently undertaking his Doctorate in Existential Psychotherapy and is the co-author of Thinking Therapeutically with Sandra Westland.

Tom enjoys giving lectures and workshops in the UK and Internationally. His workshops and courses have gained International acclaim and he has been invited to lecture at conferences, symposiums and universities in France, Spain, U.S.A., Mexico, Russia and China, where he was recorded giving therapy via an interpreter in one of the first public televised shows of therapy to be screened.

Tom is the co-founder of THA, a pioneering approach to Transpersonal Psychology in which he has lectured worldwide.

As a founder of CCTS, Tom tutors on the certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses, and assists in both the curriculum development and running of courses at Contemporary College.

Senior Tutor

Joan Clark DIHP (CCTS)

Joan has completed study for her 2nd year Advanced Diploma in Integrative Hypno-Psychotherapy with CCTS and has returned as a tutor with the college. She continues to train with Contemporary College on her 3rd/4th year training in Integrative Counselling and will soon embark on the NLP Master Practitioner Course. She has also studied for a teaching qualification in the Life Long Learning Sector.

Prior to her training with CCTS she was employed in Pharmaceutical sales, after an 8 year nursing career.

She is currently in full time practice in Chelmsford, Essex.

Senior Tutor

Rob Acott DIHP (CCTS)

Rob has recently completed study for his 2nd year Advanced Diploma in Integrative Hypno-Psychotherapy and NLP Master Practitioner Certificate with CCTS and has returned as a tutor with the college. He continues to train with Contemporary College on the Diploma in Integrative Counselling and regularly attends CPD courses. He is also studying for a teaching qualification in the Life Long Learning Sector.

Before his training with CCTS for his new career, he held a variety of roles within the Transport, Music and Computer industries.

He is currently in full time practice in Essex at CCTS

Professor Jure Biechonski MSc (Counselling Psychology) PGCE

Jure is an experienced Counselling Psychologist and is the founder and director of SACH International (School of Analytical and Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Integrative Psychotherapy) Jure is currently completing his PhD in Clinical Hypnotherapy.

Jure has over 25 years of practice as a psychotherapist and 9 years study of hypnotherapy and NLP to an advanced level. As a psychotherapist Jure uses hypnotherapy as a tool to accelerate the therapeutic process by accessing the subconscious mind. His qualifications and extensive studies have provided him with a wide scope of various counselling and hypnotic techniques, which ensures a high success rate among his clients.

Natasha Bee B.Ed Hons, DIHP, GQHP, MGHR, Dip. Couns, MBACP (Acc).  

Natasha Bee is a successful integrative therapist based in Chelmsford, serving clients from all over Essex. She also currently tutors for Contemporary College. 

Natasha has a background in mainstream education and today combines a successful practice based in Chelmsford, with employment at a private psychiatric hospital, providing help to young people suffering emotional and behavioural difficulties. 

She is a member of the GHR and an Accredited Member of BACP.

Tutor

Tanya Colley BA (Hons), MBACP, GHR Reg, LNCP, FACHPC, GQHP, Dip. Counselling, Dip. Hypno-Psychotherapy (UKCHP)

Tanya has an employment background which has encompassed many environments - from the theatre to a City company where she spent many years involved with personnel, employment law and human resources.

Tanya runs her private practice in Cornwall. As well as continuing to teach as a guest lecturer for Contemporary College, she also lectures/tutors Counselling Studies at Certificate and Foundation Degree level.

Tanya continues to attend study groups, workshops and seminars on a regular basis, and is currently working towards accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Tanya often makes guest appearances, when not engaged in her writing.

Tutor

Marc Medina - MA, UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, BACP (Accredited) Counsellor & Psychotherapist, UKRCP.

Marc is a UKCP Registered and BACP Accredited Existential Psychotherapist in private practice. He also works for the NHS as a staff therapist and group supervisor for multi disciplinary psychiatric teams at Broadmoor hospital. He is carrying out research, using IPA methodologies, in the field of recovery from alcohol addiction. He is particularly interested in examining how this route to sobriety within the AA paradigm impacts upon the everyday lives of its long term sober members; the choices they make, the difficulties they encounter and their felt sense of personal freedom.

Marc teaches Group Work and Existential therapy courses at CCTS and is currently furthering his studies through his Doctorate in Existential Psychotherapy at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC).

Richard Reid MBACP (Acc), MGHR, MISMA, Dip Integrative Hyp. Psych, Diploma in Counselling (UKCHP)

Richard is a professionally qualified counsellor, hypno-psychotherapist and mediator. He is also an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and the International Stress Management Association (ISMA). 

He has trained with a number of professional organisations including the Centre for Stress Management, Regents College and the National Centre for Eating Disorders.
Richard's professional areas of expertise include Stress management, Eating Disorders, Trauma counselling and EMDR. 

He is also a regular tutor for Contemporary College.

Tutoring Assistant

Monica Varo DIHP (CCTS), GQHP, IHP, PNLP, MNLP, TFTP 

Monica has completed her studies for her Diploma in Integrative Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy, and the Diploma in Counselling and Master Practitioner Certificate in NLP, all with CCTS. She has returned as an assistant with the college while continuing to attend CPD courses.

Before her training with CCTS for her new career she worked in the leisure industry and in the accounts department for a haulage company, until she successfully set up her own domestic and commercial cleaning company, which allowed her to follow her dream and study to become a therapist.

Monica is currently in full time practice as an integrative therapist in Watford and Rickmansworth.
